About myself:
Dr. Pramod Hari Mahajan is an approved Laser surgeon by Australian Centre For Medical Laser Technology. He is a life member of Indian Association of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons, Federation of Restoration & Cosmetic Surgery, Cosmetology Society of India, Cutaneous Surgeons of India, Indian Society of facial plastic surgeons. Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, All India Rhinology Society, Association of Otolaryngologist of India, Indian Society of Otology and many more. He has done his postgraduate course from Govt. Medical College, Nagpur in 1981. He is a professor of surgery in M.H. Medical College, Nashik. He regularly gives lectures on cosmetology, otolaryngology and head, neck and face. He has written about ten books on health problem cases to educate the masses. Case paper filed are useful to patient. He educates patient about problems of precautions to be observed. He was the first ENT surgeon to start vestibular investigation and tympanographic procedures in North Maharashtra. He has started first multilaser centre in North Maharashtra. He has undergone training in various recognized cosmetic surgery workshops held at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, G.T. Hospital, Mumbai, Moolchand Hospital, New Delhi, Medical University, Luchnow, Medical College, Jaipur. He is certified for lasers by Australia Board. He has acquired training in Lasers under the guidance of Prof. Penny Smalley (USA), Dr. Philippe Deprez, (Spain), Prof. Dr. Prasad (Professor of Dermatology, Ranchi), Dr. Dhepe (Dermatologist, Pune), Dr. Satish Arolkar (Plastic Surgeon, Mumbai), Dr. Alok Dixit (Durg) and Dr. K.S. Chaudhari (Cosmetic Surgeon, Pune). He has undergone special training in Laser Cosmetic surgery, facial plasty, hair transplant, hair implant, permanent hair removal, body contouring, fat reduction, fat grafting. He has multiple types of LASERs such as long pulse ND YAG laser, Q-switch YAG laser, CO2 laser, IPL in his surgical centre, which are effective in treatment of most of the various types of cosmetic problems. REMOVAL OF OF UNWANTED HAIRS BY Nd YAG LASER & IPL SYSTEM:
Everybody has some unwanted hairs on the body which reduce quality of beauty of face & body. In women, such hairs are more common on their body.
Hair are the most valuable ornament of women. But unwanted hair spoil beauty of women. Many women are still not aware of this fact in their own case. If not removed, these unwanted hair continue to hurt the mind. Hair on upper lip, chin, forehead, ear pinna, neck, under arm, fore arms, axilla, bikini lines, legs, thighs and back are considered as uncultured.
Countless women and men are tired of having unwanted hair on the face and other parts of the body. In men, excess unwanted hair are present on chest, abdomen pinna of ear,area below eyebrow, area on the nose and in nose. Some men have excess thick and fast growing hair on beard area. Unwanted hair are also present in between eyebrows and these unwanted hair irregularly shape the eyebrows and make them less attractive. Why to use the Nd: YAG Laser instead of other Lasers?
Nd: YAG Laser is the most accepted & the most advanced Laser at world level. To remove unwanted hairs. It is the most suitable for all Indian skin including dark skin. FDA of America has approved Nd: YAG laser for permanent reduction of hair. Nd: YAG laser has longer wave length and better penetration upto hair root i.e. upto 4-6 mm which is not possible with other lasers. It acts more at deeper level of hair bulb & least on superficial layer (epidermis) of the skin. So, it is the most safe for surface of the skin. No other laser hair removal system can virtually make such required action. For lacs and lacs of people, this laser system is a God gift.
How laser acts?
Nd: YAG laser rays are selectively absorbed by the cells containing melanin skin pigment at the root of hair and so hair roots are destroyed immediately and completely without injuring the skin Nd: YAG laser machine acts on a large number of hair at a time in a single flash of laser light. Generally, one requires 4-8 sittings at an interval of 4-6 weeks for permanent hair removal. Total number of laser sittings required for particular person depends on his skin type, colour of hair, thickness of hair, phase of hair growth cycle and hormonal activity in the body. Those hair which are destroyed by laser do not grow again.Laser peel / Laser skin polishing: For Acne scars, Acne pigmentation & fine wrinckless & dark spots.
Skin of the face is often affected by multiple factors of environment and changes in our body because it is least protected. We take the beauty of our skin for granted. Our beauty is very much sensitive to our life style, sunlight, environment, nutritional deficiency, stress & age. These factors change the skin dull & lifeless. We need little extra efforts & service to take care of the skin and maintain the glow. If person neglects the care or if he delays treatment, results are less satisfactory. Nd: YAG Laser acts under the skin without causing injury to the surface. So, laser peel stimulate cell production & remodeling of collagen in subdermal area. It corrects uneven tone & rough texture of the skin. It reduces size of pores on the skin. It reduces size & over activity of sebaceous glands, so acnes are controlled. It can be done on face, neck & back or other parts of the body.
Laser peel can be ablative & non-ablative. Ablative laser peel can be done once & then rejuvenation takes place. Non-ablative laser peel is done in about four or more sessions. With each session, gradual improvement occurs.
As skin is the most dynamic silent organ, it is often affected by sunlight, environment, pollution, stress, life style & health status after certain period. We recommend maintenance session later on which varies from case to case. Some may need skin polishing, brightening & rehydration as maintenance care at certain interval.
Laser face rejuvenation:
Laser can carry out quick & effective revitalization of the face. Such Laser rejuvenation of face improves the tone of the skin. It reduces tiredness & dullness of the skin. It can treat dry, tight, flaky, razor irritated skin. Neglected skin can also be treated.Laser eye rejuvenation:
Dull & dark skin around the eye is the problem found in many men & women. To refresh, retone & revitalize the skin around the eyes, eye rejuvenation procedure is done. It is also done in tired & stressed eyes. It soothes, smoothens & tightens the skin. Fine lines reduce & improvement of circulation develops. So, after the procedure, skin becomes distressed free and retoned. One needs two sessions in a week for about eight weeks. One may need maintenance dose.

This procedure is done in 4 sessions at a gap of 10-15 days. No down time is required. One can go to work site. Some needs
maintenance session.Laser assisted dark circle reduction:
Some men & women have darkness & puffiness around the eyes. So, skin appears tired. After session, fresher look develops. One needs two sessions per week for 8 weeks. In some patients maintenance sessions in a month is required.For aging face:
Non surgical face lift.
Fifteen minutes procedure of Botox & fillers can reduce wrinkles, crow feet, frown lines, unwanted lines on fore head, cheek, lip etc.
Botox:
Botox is a natural purified protein which relaxes muscles that are responsible for dynamic wrinkles.
Botox is accepted world wide to treat variety of problems in the body. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) of U.S.A. has approved this technique as the safest. Results are observed in a week. Results last for 6-8 months.
Fillers:
Due to aging, we develop deep facial wrinkles, creases & furrows. Frequent facial movements like smiling, chewing, squinting & stress reflect further on the face to precipitate these lines. Aging, gravity, exposure to sun, consumption of tobacco in any form also contribute in their formation.
Superficial lines around the lips & nose, nasolabial fold, fine lines around the mouth. etc. can be treated & so the skin in that area becomes more smooth. The facial contours can be shaped. Deep folds are corrected. So, face regains youthful appearance. Procedure requires 15 minutes.
Results are visible immediately. Skin appears more smooth & more taut.
Results last for 6-10 months. Perlane or Restylane is used as fillers. If autofat is used, after 3 injections, results are long lasting. Regular follow up treatment maintains youthful look.

Cosmetic face surgeries:
Face constitutes major part of beauty of the person. Almost everybody of us has some flaw on the face. Thus, most of us try to hide this flaw or try our efforts to notice it minimum. Medicines and cosmetic available in market have their limitations but surgeries have lot of scope to overcome defects of the face. Most of these surgeries have no visible scar or very minimum non noticeable scar.
1. Laser resurfacing of face: Laser surgery of acne scars, dark spots of acne, skin thickening & depressions, irregular & rough surface of the skin. Many persons have rough skin, acne scars, dark spots of acne, skin thickening & depressions, irregular & rough surface of the skin, wrinkle,dark spots, sun damage. These problems can be treated with specific laser machine. We have various types of laser machine for such treatment.
2. Face lift: Everybody of us is affected by aging process & gravity. So, fine lines, wrinkles, folds, sagging of the skin develop on the face. Some have prominent naso labial fold, jowl of jaw, double chin. All these can be corrected. Triangular shape of the face becomes more or less like round or square. Excess fat adds ugliness to our face.All these can be corrected. Various types of face lift procedures can be done such as SMAS lift, mid face lift, temporal face lift, brow lift, forehead lift.
3. Blepharoplasty: To improve swelling of eye lid, to reduce excess skin folds of eye lid, to reduce swelling below lower eye lid (eye bags) blepharoplasty is done.
Reshaping nose (Rhinoplasty / Rhinoseptoplasty):
Nose is major organ of the body which affects beauty of face & body. About 50% people in the community have some flaw in shape of the nose. But they are not aware of it or they have no knowledge about whether such defect can be improved. Everybody like nose in good shape & size. Shape of nose can be corrected or improved. Tips of the nose plays more than fifty per cent role in beauty of nose. Some persons have broader tip of nose. Such tip of nose can be made narrow & so beauty of nose improves. Some person have vertical furrow or line on the lower surface of the tip of the nose. Some persons have nasal tip which points more downwards rather than forward. Some have tip of nose which points more forward & less downward. With increase in age, tip of the nose gradually turns down. Such nasal tip which points downwards can be elevated & can be made to point forward. If front margin of nose is very broad it can be narrowed.
The height of nose can be reduced or increased. Broad nose can be made narrower nose. Depression (saddle) or elevation (hump) of nose can be corrected. The nose may not be exactly of same shape on right & left half. Such asymmetry can be corrected. In India, many persons have nose having less height in upper half which makes face less attractive but he/she is not aware of this defect. Height of such depressed part of the nose can be improved & nose appears better.
Some have deviated nose or ‘S’ shaped or ‘C’ shaped crooked nose. Some have very big sized nose which can be made smaller & attractive. Some have smaller size nose in comparison to the face which can be increased in size. All these defect in shape of the nose can be corrected with the surgery or even non surgical procedure.
Increasing prominance of cheek:
Some people have no prominence of cheek bone. Others may have sunken cheek due to loss of fat. It can be improved with surgery.
Decreasing prominance of cheek:
Some have extra prominent cheek bones or some have extra bulging, extra round cheek which reduce beauty of the face. The prominence of cheek bone can be reduced. The extra bulge or extra rounded shape of cheek can be reduced.
Improving shape of the chin:
Smaller or sunken lower jaw or chin is present in some persons. one may have over sized lower jaw (chin) which disturbs harmony or beauty of the face. So, from weak chin or extra large chin, optimum size of chin can be developed & so face can be transform into more pleasing aesthetic shape. It can be done with surgery or it can also be done by non surgical procedure.
Improving appearance of lips: Lip surgery: Lips may have reduced volume or extra large volume. After the nose lips are most important organ of beautiful face.
Lips may have wrinkles.
Less volume of lip can be increased without surgery & high volume of lip can be reduced with the help of short surgery. So, also wrinkles on the lip can also be reduced with the help of laser and lip surface can be made smooth & youthful.
Lifting borders of the mouth:
Due to premature aging person develop corners of the mouth which naturally turn down & person appears older. Such corners can be lifted up
Eye brow lift:
Hooded eyes / heavy brows is the most noticeable sign of aging. These eye brow can be corrected to improve beauty of face.
Improving shape of pinna of ears:
Some patients have extra large sized pinna of the ears or forwardly pointing ear pinna. It can be corrected in shape & position.
Creating dimple on the cheek:
Dimple on the cheek or chin is considered as a sign of beauty & good fortune. Minor surgery can create such dimple.
Scars, birth marks, aging spots, stretch marks, skin tags, moles, warts:- All these can be removed with joint approach of surgery &/or variety of laser available at our centre.Erasing or reducing scar & keloid:
Some patients develop hypertrophied scar or prominent scar or keloid. These can be treated with CO2 laser, Nd: YAG lase & IPL available in our centre.Eradicating black / red brown patches, tattoo marks, dark spots on the skin.
Nd: YAG laser, CO2 laser, IPL helps to remove these problems. Pigmented areas & dark circles can reduce & make them less visible. In resistant cases or oversized problems, help of surgery is taken.
Vascular lesions, or prominent blood vessels/ on the body surface varicose veins on the legs. Nd: YAG laser is used.to treat vascular lesion, prominent blood vessels in the skin & under the skin. This leser is also used to treat various veins on the legs.
Depressed spots, scars, thickening of the skin on the face & other parts of body.
Acne, inflammatory lesion injuries create depression spots or scars or thickening on the face which make the face less attractive & person feels unsatisfied about his face. Laser can correct these defects & improves smoothness of the face.
Snoring:
In some of the snorers, there is thickening or hypertrophy of the tissues in oropharynx. CO2 laser can treat it with the help of uvulopalatoplasty.
Surgery of nose, mouth, throat, larynx, ear diseases with laser.
Diseases of mouth, throat, larynx, tonsils can be treated with the help of lasers. Myringotomy of ear can also be done with laser. Pain is absent or minimum after the surgery. Wound heals faster.
Oral surgery by laser: White/red/black spots in mouth ,granules in mouth & tongue can be effectively treated with laser.
Laser surgery of Gums:
Black & blue gums ,& thick gums disturb beauty during smilling These can be treated & can be made cosmetically acceptable.

Liposuction:
Reshaping the belly, double chin, neck, other parts of the body or whole body.
Liposuction means reducing fat under the skin with the help of the suction force. Many people try to reduce weight but they may not get back to desired attractive shape of the body. Some people are some what fatty & have undesired deposition of fat in some part of the body. Many ladies & even gents face such problem after the age of 25. Even some youngsters have such problem. There are very small scars after the surgery which disappear in 3-6 months. Outer thighs, inner thighs, buttocks, hips, waist & love handles have undesired fat. The fat in these areas do not respond to weight reduction. This fat can be reduced dramatically. To reshape these parts of the body, liposuction surgery is done. Results are permanent if person follows instructions. With the help of expert we have developed this facility.
Cosmetic surgery of breast:
Some women have larger or smaller breast in proportion to their body size. Due to extra large breast some may feel fatigue. Some have sagging or ptotic or pendulous breast. All these problems can be dealt surgery to improve the shape & size of the breast. Some may loose breast due to cancer, or other problem. Breast can be reformed.
Some women have extra large areola (dark area around the nipple). Some have nipple which hangs down or which is folded or inverted. These can be corrected with minor surgery. Expert’s help is available at our centre.
Enlarged breast in men/ Gynaecomastia:
Some men have enlarged breasts. It is called gynecomastia. And so they feel very awkward. They cannot wear T-shirts. Such problem can be corrected.
